Guests/non-Members are very welcome at all Meetings and Events.
A guest fee of £5 (US$8) is charged which is refunded on joining The Beatrix Potter Society.
Occasionally, priority is given to Society Members at ticketed events.

Annual Linder Lecture
Irene Whalley, co-founder and now a vice –president of the Society will give a talk entitled ‘Beatrix Potter: the unending quest’.
Doors open 2 p.m. Talk followed by refreshments.

Saturday 13 July 2013 Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
Summer Outing - ‘Beatrix Potter’s Kew connections’
As a site of World Heritage rich in history, our visit will identify some of the specialist gardens and " Glass Palaces ' which make up the 132 acres of landscaped gardens. Meeting at Elizabeth Gate, before lunch in the Orangery, the group will visit the Library/Herbarium to see some items associated with Beatrix Potter including two recently acquired botanical water colours. Following lunch there will be a themed walk entitled ' Beatrix Potter’s Kew Connections'.

Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September Hawkshead, Cumbria
Autumn weekend in the Lake District
A weekend of events and talks celebrating Beatrix Potter, Hill Top, the centenary of Beatrix’s marriage to William Heelis and the publication, also in 1913, of The Tale of Pigling Bland. The weekend will start with a buffet lunch on the Saturday and include a talk by Catherine Pritchard, House Steward at Hill Top, on her twenty years caring for Beatrix’s house, and visits to both the Beatrix Potter Gallery and Wray Castle.

A tea to celebrate Beatrix Potter and William Heelis’s 100th Wedding Anniversary and a talk by author and Beatrix Potter Society Member, Marta McDowell, about her new book on Beatrix Potter’s gardens.
